Orkun was previously product manager of recommendations, Local Register, Cloud Wallet and person-to-person payments at Amazon.com where he launched several recommender systems and features on Amazon.com websites and devices and consumer wallet services in the U.S., U.K. and Germany. Prior to Amazon.com, Orkun worked on mobile check-out and mobile carrier billing products at PayPal. Orkun also held product management and corporate development positions at Turkcell, Turk Telekom and Ericsson where he built and launched several mobile operator products and services. Orkun has an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University and BSc in Electronics Engineering from Istanbul University.

Merve has 12 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics and product management in e-commerce, telecoms, Internet and banking industries. She has worked in various capacities including software engineer, business analyst, project manager and product manager at companies such as Amazon.com, Microsoft and Turkcell. Merve is Mona's first power user and she's also the one who came up with the name Mona. Merve holds an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University and a BSc in Industrial Engineering from Istanbul Technical University.

Cem is a software engineer who enjoys building highly available and reliable software solutions. After studying Computer Science at the University of Washington, Cem joined BlackBerry where he was a key contributor to architecture, design and development of various consumer and enterprise BlackBerry services used by 100M+ customers, such as BIS E-Mail and BlackBerry Enterprise Server. At BlackBerry, Cem led various interdisciplinary efforts to improve quality of legacy and new platforms acting as a liaison between development, testing and operations teams.

Utku is a software engineer who is passionate about building scalable software solutions on various platforms. He earned his BSc degrees in Informations Systems Engineering from both Istanbul Technical University and Binghamton University. Prior to Mona, Utku interned in Pisano and Istanbul Technical University Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Laboratory. He also holds a Guinness World Record in bachata dancing.

Mona is an artificial intelligence based mobile shopping assistant that is changing the way people shop. Our goal is to create the world's most personal mobile retail shopping experience. Mona provides an interactive product search experience where she asks for and analyzes customer feedback and provides better recommendations in real-time. This is our first step towards creating a mobile shopping experience that is similar to an in-store dialogue between a customer and a personal shopping assistant. Today, Mona simplifies mobile search, discovery and purchases. In the future, she’ll do returns, re-orders, local search and more.
